MIgration issue Hyper-v to azure - "redirect URI" string

We are setting this up to migrate from a hyper-v physical host to Azure, we got as far as the azure app registration, we created the registration initially with no info for the Redirect Uri, but when we hit the "get subscriptions" button nothing happens, tcp logs show communication to azure but that's about it., no error logs to speak of.
