Thank you yes what we saw in the lab was that it throws and error and were wondering that we should remove them before conversion to avoid the errors it throws.

Yes, you need to remove those.
Good luck with your project :)

Just getting started with V2V. Not sure where I am going wrong. Just trying to do a straightforward conversion from ESXi to Hyper-V. I go through the wizard and the conversion completes. When I do this with a VM that boots BIOS, everything works. When I do this with a machine that boots EUFI, it fails. It says it Windows failed to start. Status: 0xc000000e Info: A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.

I can hit ESC for UEFI firmware settings but that gets me to a screen 'No boot devices were found'.

I have had the same problem trying to convert a bare metal machine to Hyper-V. This is so basic I can't imagine what I am doing wrong.

Welcome to StarWind Forum!
Try VHD and GEN1 VM.
It looks like it does not "like" it in the destination. Do you have VMware tools installed?

Where do I set VHD? Also, when converting EUFI servers, ESXi or physical, G1 is grayed out.

You need to convert an individual disk. Please also try "Windows repair mode" if available.
Please also make sure that the VMware tools were removed.
