Encrypted hard drive - P2V

Would P2V work on an encrypted HD? I'm hoping to P2V a Win11 HD to vmdk so i can run it on my Mac. I've done this in the past with Rufus/Ubuntu but wondering if StarWind would do the trick?

V2V will not decrypt the disk. You will get the same encrypted media, but virtual.

thanks, yea to decrypt. ok so it will clone the physical disk to virtual even though its an encrypted media?
