Upload Speed Issue - Backblaze

Postby brcstar » Wed Aug 15, 2018 10:46 pm

Hello Team,

Fantastic product! I have the tape ejecting and the upload starting, but I'm confused and stuck

With default configuration file, I have uploaded 35GB of 1.9TB in 18 hours.

I can't understand where I have gone wrong. The backblaze speed test shows 20mbps upload 100mbps download.

My calculations with 10% variance is roughly 10 days for completion, hammering the link.

Actual speed indicates it will finish in excess of 50 days, for which the next monthly backup will already be running.

What can I do?

Hello brcstar,
You can try to increase the number of simultaneous uploads and the size of Backblaze parts in config file located on "c:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\CloudReplicator" folder:
MaxBackBlazeUploadSimultaneousNetConnections
BackBlazePartSizeMb

For future visitors, the issue on my end was geographical. We are based in AU and BB is in US. Transfer speeds were insufficient.
