Hi everyone
I am a newbie and want to deploy a 2-node hyper-v server 2016 with Starwind VSAN for Home lab
My Environment:
Node1 and Node2 are identical and have only 2 onboard NIC, Eth0 and Eth1 (Eth0 is reserved for LAN and connected directly to a physical switch)
My Question:
What is the best way to configure those NICs?
Thanks for your Help

You can turn your management network into the iSCSI one. Another solution is assigning two IP addresses to the same physical NIC and keep them in different subnets, one of which would be used for iSCSI and another is for synchronization. This is technically possible, but keep is mind this is very dangerous and in case of NIC failure you will most likely end up with split brain, which means data corruption for you. Adding your management link as the Heartbeat connection for the StarWind devices can help avoid such situations to some extent, but it is still risky.

If you decide to try any of the above, be aware neither of them is recommended / supported. You will use it at your own risk.

Hi;
Thanks again Boris.
I'll be going to test it (Adding management link as the Heartbeat connection for the StarWind devices) and tell you later:
