I'm using v8. Lots of direct-attached storage, with the .swdsk and incremental .spspx files of an existing 10TB Deduped virtual disk...
I have a LSFS device that was having problems mounting upon reboot of the physical server (took longer than 5 hours to mount, still hadn't mounted), so I was clicking around and removed the device. I know, dumb move. I was desperate. Now however, when I go to Add Device Wizard, Hard Disk Device, Virtual Disk Device, point to the existing swdsk file, and Use Existing File, I get "Failed to Create Device" I can't see how to gain more information or use different settings or anything.

Thoughts?

OK, so I pointed to the .spsp file and it now shows up as a regular device. However, I am back to the "device is mounting issue" Going at a speedy rate of about 1% per few minutes. What do I do? At this rate, it will kill me to wait a day for this thing to mount.

Update: "device mount failed" on that very slow mount...now what?

How about if we`ll jump on the quick remote session?
