Greetings NC and Support Team,
I am trying to restore some single files from an "ibvss" Snapshot regarding the documentation "StarWind iSCSI SAN Software: Implementation of Enhanced Data Protection Using StarWind Snapshots" page 24 and following.
Creating a Device from a Snapshot runs into an error, here the Log entries:

Code: Select all

There is indead no "snaps_00000002.ibvdb" file, only a file named "snaps.ibvdb". The same happens for other snapshot files too, e.g. "snaps_00000001.ibvdb"
What is going wrong here?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Could you please clarify what StaRWind version are you using?
And one additional thing that is need to be clarified for we to know what actions could be suggested and what are not - StaRWind is in production environment, correct?

Deeply appologies! I`ve misread that!

1a.ibvdb - is the file that contains the data about the new snapshot, and it is creating during taking snapshots. Are you sure that noone deleted it?

Absolutly sure!
I tried it several times and every time this File is missing.
I tried to delete the hole Device and create a new one - same Problem.
I tried it also with CDP Device with automatic Snapshot Funktion enabled - same Problem. Snapshots are creating but there is never a "*000000*.ibvdb" File.
