When you serve a image/disk in 2003 server, that house partition/disk become unavailable. Im trying to VSS images via iSCSI but I want to backup that partition/disk without having to logoff the connection.

Is there any way to backup a host image/partition without having to logoff the connection?

Sorry, I meant to post this in the other thread

Im trying to snapshot a server over iSCSI to a 2TB disk and then back those files up to tape from the 2TB by attached LTO without having to logoff the iSCSI connection from the source server.

PLease delete this as it doesnt look like you can have shared access to a image file. Pity - one server on rw and another on read only, wouldve suited me to the ground.

Hi Paul,

I guess your question is about StarWind?

We've just uploaded the new StarWind version to our download area.
There are several problems fixed.

Plese try the version, it allows reading of mounted ImageFiles.
Best regards,
Valeriy
