Hi,

I'm completely new to this program and my Task is to migrate a ESXi VM with Windows XP to a Hyper-V Host.

When Running Starwind V2V Converter and selecting the Windows XP VM. In the Details of the VM it says "VirtualDisk: 0" which is not true ;)

Continuing with destination location there are 0.00 B required and when I Click "Convert" nothing happens.

Other VMs on the same ESXi Server show the correct amount of VirutalDisk.
The Only difference apart from the Guest OS I recognized is that the SCSI-Controller is configured as BusLogic Parallel.

I Hope someone has an idea what's wrong and how to fix it

Hi,

Welcome to StarWind forum. Windows XP is not supported for P2V conversion (see more at https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... tions.html)
Use this guide instead https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... erver.html or try conveting individual disks (https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... erver.html).

Hi,

thanks for your Reply also I'm not sure how it is related to my Problem

1. I'm Using V2V not P2V
2. The Guides do not help because VSV don't detect the VirtualDisks of the Machine

I think this has something to do with the way you have storage connected to this VM.
Please tell me more about the disk. Is it VMDK or is it an RDM disk? Having screenshots of how the disk is displayed in the V2V converter UI, VM settings, and ESXi will be helpful.
