Hi StarWind,

the most straightforward way to deploy HA SMB3 NAS would be to use Win S2D. I recently came across this post https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... wind-smb3/
but I'm a bit puzzled with actual setup proposed. Any chance you can provide more details about architecture ?

Hey,

SMB share witness enables free users to deploy node majority setups in their clusters. Previously, that was not possible with the free license. See more about node majority failover strategy here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/help/N ... ategy.html

Sorry still confused ... what would be a starting point for deployment ? 2-node Hyperconverged Scenario with Windows Server ?
Is it possible to do with Starwind Linux VSA ?

There should be a 2-node setup + file share that is not running on any of those servers. See the deployment procedure at https://www.starwindsoftware.com/help/C ... tness.html.
For now, this feature is not available for StarWind VSAN for vSphere. It should be available in the next build.
