Hello
I'm looking for an alternative to Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) as it operates quite unstable in my environment (home lab). Therefore I did some testing with Starwind's VSAN free (with enabled L1 and L2 caching) which was very promising until it came to the point of performance when doing intensive reading and writing at the same time.
It looks like S2D's storage tiering does a good job regarding this point. In a forum post more than two years ago I found the following statement: "We also are developing and testing our own StarWind tearing now, so should have that one released some time soon." (Source: https://forums.starwindsoftware.com/vie ... 652#p26257)
What's the current state about that?
Many thanks and regards
Roger
