We have use v2v conveter to convert our vmware 5.0 VM running window xp (licensed) guest machine to .vhd.

During the process, we uninstalled the vmware tools, reboot and backup/restore the VM files using our veeam backup tool.

Upon restored, we manage to convert the vmdk to vhd without issue.

However when we tried to boot the window xp .vhd it was able to boot half way in safe mode and normal mode. Then it just hang there.

We also tried to repair the system. After repair, it was asking for activation, we connect to internet and activate it.
It took forever to activate and the screen remain the same.

Any idea what can be do to get the window xp .vhd up and running probably?
