Looking to convert a VHD to VMDK and I received the error: Error Opening File (2) 5 to which I have no idea of the meaning. It occurs on 4 different VHD files I'm working with.

actually I think I just figured it out, trying to map out to a volume on a server instead of doing the conversions locally (500 GB machines) When I run the converter from a system with the image locally stored it works.

Thanks

no problem, did manage to get it converted but am getting BSOD with 0x7b which should be disk related. I'll have to play around with the disk controller in order to find out which one will make the VM happy

True. In some of the upcoming versions we'll manage to patch emulated hardware. But in such a case we'd be true P2V and V2V migration tool (something we'd not like to be).
