Hi there,

This is really a cooool tool to convert image from vmware to hyper-v.
However, I found there was no snapshot in the converted hyper-v image.
How to convert a specified snapshot to .vhd??

Thanks,
Yao

Hello,
did you make it work?

If you want to convert a specific snapshot, you should choose select corresponding .vmdk as source.

Usually, snapshot files are stored in one folder with virtual machine and are named like

Image.vmdk
Image-000001.vmdk
Image-000002.vmdk
... etc.

Image.vmdk - it is the first (base) snapshot
Image-000001.vmdk - it is the second snapshot
the file with largest number is the current state.

Hi,

I have the same issue - my server has multiple snapshots but unfortunately I am unable to select the latest .vmdk to convert. Only the original file has converted, which is the state of the original machine loaded onto VMware in the old Legacy domain we had.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Just doublechecking - are you taking full snapshots or incremental?
