I am in the beta program for the MS iSCSI initiator boot code and was wondering if there is any plans to allow for DHCP based MAC assigned Virtual LUNs in StarWind.

That is one of the requirements is to have the Initiator host a database matching various MAC addresses with various disk volumes for mounting during boot.

Hi,

StarWind 3.2.1 does not support LUN masking by MAC address or IP address.

The iSCSI boot target can be set in the boot software.
For example, emBoot netBoot/i allows assigning of iSCSI targets for different boot clients.
I guess other boot vendors support something similar to this feature.
Best regards,
