trying to format a disk on solaris 9:
# format -M

It would not be single point of failure. Solaris uses much larger set of features from disks it thinks are SCSI (compared to other OSes). You may write down more details about you, your project and purchase details to support@rocketdivision.com and we'll try to find the solution. Thanks!
