I am wondering if it is possible to use StawWind vSAN with xcp-ng?

I see a lot of mentions of Proxmox and Hyper-V, but nothing about xcp-ng

I am looking for an HA storage solution for VMs. We currently use TrueNAS via NFS, but we need HA.

For now, the scenario has not been officially tested.
We are working on integration.

Theoretically, you can connect VSAN iSCSI or NVMe-oF targets to an XCP-NG host as external storage. I am not sure about the converged scenario.

It’s a bit surprising that StarWind doesn’t have a flashy dedicated page for XCP-ng like they do for Proxmox or Hyper-V, but it’s definitely possible! Since XCP-ng is based on Xen, you can connect to StarWind vSAN via iSCSI, which is one of StarWind's native delivery methods. You'd basically run StarWind in a VM on each host (or on dedicated hardware), and then present that storage back to your XCP-ng pool as an iSCSI Software SR.

Converged setups are still there.
