Hello,

I have installed the Starwind x Proxmox plugin (version 1.0.2) on Proxmox 8.4, and I'm thinking about upgrading the cluster to Proxmox 9.
Clearly, in the in-place upgrade steps, it's mentioned that if you're using a third party storage plugin, you have to wait until the plugin author adapted it for Proxmox VE 9.0.

In the installation guide, there isn't an indication about the supported versions.
Is this plugin compatible with Proxmox 9?

It should, but I'd suggest postponing the updates for now, as we have not completed the tests for Proxmox9.

I would like to point out to you that I tried in a lab the upgrade and snapshots on storage backed up by the plugin doesn't work anymore with the following error:
"can't rollback snapshot for 'raw' volume"

Hello! I am putting together a new setup with Proxmox 9 and Starwind VSAN including the Starwind x Proxmox plugin (version 1.0.2) - The whole thing has been pretty east thanks to the various guides and this forum so thank you!

Quick question - I have also noticed some issues with live migration and snapshots using the plugin and Proxmox 9. its not a big deal for our setup, I can wait a bit for a fix but eventually we will want to use these features. Wondering if there's a likely fix soon, or if I should re-build with Proxmox 8.4 for now.

Is there an ETA on an update on getting the snapshots working again with the plugin?

Snapshots still work, but it needs to be Proxmox8.
We are working onsnapshot support for Proxmox9. Sadly, I have no ETA now.

Does anyone know if there have been any updates on this issue or where I can look to find updates as they are made? My team can take but not revert snapshots on Proxmox 9.0.3.

You are welcome to try thick volumes (i.e., non-starwlvm ones).
I hope it will arrive in the middle of Q1 next year.
