Bare Metal
Build 15554
Physical Disk - sda - 178T HWRaid
Physical Disk - nvme0n1-nvme5n1

We are currently in trial with the vsan software. We have a server we have been using to test which has a hardware raid 10 and 6 nvme drives. The server was fully configured with storage pools/volumes/luns for testing. In short, it worked.

To prepare for production, and cleanup after our testing, we deleted all of the luns/volumes/pools and wiped the drives. We then performed a fresh install of the same version with the same raid setup and now we are not able to create any storage pools using either sda or any of the nmve drives. The error is simply "Create pool - Failed"

We have run wipefs --all /dev/sda and the same for the nvme drives, did not change anything. Exported the support logs, but cannot find anything related to actually trying to create the pool.

Suggestions?

Hi,

Please share the logs with me. Are you having issues with the HW RAID or an NVMe-based pool?
Please write the name of the pool to me too.
P. S. If the system is licensed under the trial key, please reach out to the person who provided you with the key for the remote assistance.
