Do MS have any guidance on migrating vm’s from ESX to AzureStack HCI, including migration tooling options etc?

Does Azure Migrate support this or would we be looking at a 3rd party tool like Commvault or Zerto?

Yes, you can convert the VMDK to VHDX and use them to spin up the VMs.

Yes, Microsoft provides guidance for migrating VMs from ESX to Azure Stack HCI, including various tooling options. Azure Migrate supports this process, but you may also consider third-party tools like Commvault or Zerto for more advanced migration scenarios.
