Looking for exact guide how to create and connect the iSER target to ESXi host.
I was able to connect regular iSCSI target to this host. I configured iSER adapters on ESXi and enabled iSER on network adapters on StarWind server.
Discover on ESXi shows target on StarWind, but not shows disk device, attached to this target.
For test I successfully connected iSER target from another storage to the same ESXi host - it was discovered and work properly, so problem looks is on StarWind side.
Please advice.
Regards
E.

iSER is a test feature that is going to be reborn in NVM-oF. Stay tuned!

Do you mean that iSER not working at all?
I just don't have NVMeoF license.
BTW - I tested NVMEoF on WIndows with trial license and it also wasn't compatible with ESXi.

iSER was a feature of StarWind VSAN for Hyper-V. It has pretty much always been "Test feature".
NVMe-oF target will be coming in the next build. I am not sure if it needs a new license.
NVMe-oF on Windows is in test mode. In the next build, hopefully, the production-ready target will arrive as a part of CVM. Stay tuned.

Thank you for your patience!
I hope to see it closer to the end of Q2 or early Q3 this year. Please keep an eye on the release notes https://www.starwindsoftware.com/release-notes-build
