Hello,

I have two Windows 2016 servers both running StarWind Virtual SAN in synchronous mode.

I am currently trying to move everything off of an old deprecated subdomain onto a new domain. Will moving one of the servers onto the new domain break the synchronization of the two SANs? I see that the synchronization and heartbeat channels are IP address, but the replication partner field shows its hostname. I am also curious whether it will break iSCSI connections to my hypervisors.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to StarWind forum!
StarWind VSAN does not need domain for synchronous replication, so StarWind VSAN should not be affected by domain change if synchronization and iSCSI networks are configured correctly.
Also, if GUI is enabled (i.e., there is no message about console in read-only mode) , you can reach out to support@starwind.com.
