I'm trying to see if I can configure an NVMe drive to be l1 cache for some regular SSDs in vsan free. If it's possible, could someone tell me how I'd go about configuring that?

Welcome to StarWind Forum.
In StarWind VSAN L1 cache is RAM cache. See more at https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... rinciples/
See more about adding L2 cache https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... -l1-cache/.
Please note that l2 cache works as only as a write-through cache. In other words, it boosts only reads. To make most of your NVMe disk, please consider putting a StarWind HA device there.
