Hi team,

I have 2 workers I need to utilize MS failover grouping on and because of speed necessities, I need to utilize nearby SAS drives as a SAN plate and was contemplating whether StarWind VSAN will help me.

I need it to deal with the D: drives on both boxes yet treat the two drives as one so when a failover happens, the D: drive information is kept in a state of harmony so the application running bunched is content with the development of the application to the next hub.

Can VSAN do this for me?

Hyper-V isn't essential for this arrangement.

Hi,

StarWind VSAN mirrors the local storage of 2 servers between them. You can create an image file (if you are using the free version, try this script https://forums.starwindsoftware.com/vie ... p+3#p31505) mirrored between 2 servers. Done right (see the guide https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... rver-2016/), StarWind VSAN provides shared storage that withstands server malfunction (VMs just migrate to another server and start using the copy from there), maintenance, etc.
