I have 2 servers I want to use MS failover clustering on and due to speed requirements, I want to use local SAS drives as a SAN disk and was wondering if StarWind VSAN will help me.

I want it to manage the D: drives on both boxes but treat the two drives as one so that when a failover occurs, the D: drive data is kept in sync so that the application running clustered is happy with the movement of the application to the other node.

Can VSAN do this for me?

Hyper-V is NOT part of this setup.

Hi,

Welcome to StarWind Forum. What you described here seems to be a converged cluster (see this guide https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... rver-2016/). You need to connect the storage over iSCSI to both Hyper-V hosts.
Do you have only one storage box? If so, that storage may be a single point of failure (i.e., if it goes down all VMs will go down).
