Last night I went to reboot one of my nodes after first putting it in maintenance mode. After the reboot I tried to bring it out of maintenance mode, but it said it wasn't synchronized. I tried synchronizing it with the SyncHaDeviceAdvanced script, but it says it is still in maintenance mode. I tried forcing it maintenance mode and I tried the command to mark the current node as synchronized. None of this worked.

Somehow in trying to bring it back online I am now getting a "local or partner underlying storage is not ready" error. I had tried stopping/starting the VSAN service, could that have caused this error?

I've been using VSAN for several months now, and I used the same procedure for host node reboots that I have in the past.

Can anyone help? Is it possible to pay support for a one-time incident?

Thanks,
Dave

Greetings Dave,

Welcome at StarWind Forum!
Here is what you can do.
1. Stop StarWind Service on one side.
2. Edit StarWind _HA.swdsk header.
3. Find the line saying something like <maintenance_mode>true<maintenance_mode>
4. Remove that line
5. Repeat for all the HA devices stuck in maintenance mode.
6. Start the service.
7. Go to the other node, repeat the procedure.

Let me know if any assistance is required.
