Guys any chance to hear about your plans to support either iSER or SRP? Or both? :) Thanks a bunch!

Hello

StarWind VSAN supports iSER (here is the guide on how to enable it https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... r-hyper-v/).
No SRP yet though :( .

Your physical network adapters need to support RDMA. If those connections go through switches, switches are to support RDMA too.

Does your networking gear support RDMA?

There may be several reasons why iSER checkbox is grayed-out.
1. Host or partner may not support it. One more time, make sure that networking can work over RDMA. Run Get-NetAdapterRdma (find more details about this cmdlet here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powers ... w=win10-ps). Please make sure that NICs you use support iSER.
2. iSER.dll library may be missing or modified (it should be here C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind)

Should you require any other assistance, let me know.

iSER works in StarWind for synchronisation channels for quite some time. You can configure incoming connections with iSER where hypervisor / OS supports this functionality (VMware ESXi since 6.7, KVM and Xen), there's no Hyper-V incoming connections iSER support though and I don't think we'll do it. We're switching to NVMe-oF for both backbone (sync) and incoming connections (same set of the OSes/hypervisors + we have our own NVMe-oF initiator for Hyper-V / Windows Server). There won't be any SRP support anytime as it's a dead tech...
