We are using vsan in a 2 node windows failover cluster.. We have a cluster shared volume as well as slices for sql server data.. The sql server slices are working great but the csv slice is painfully slow..

What would cause this? Let me know what other information is needed to help us..

Can you share:
- basic network configuration of the links used for StarWind VSAN;
- Microsoft iSCSI Initiator configuration for CSV, including the way portals are discovered and the way targets are connected, MPIO policy used;
- whether it's the CSV that is slow or VHDX files located there;
- if VHDX files are meant, name their type (dynamic vs. fixed).

Basic network: Both lan connection and sync channel are 10GB fibre.. The heartbeat is 1gb crossover..

Discovery is local machine, then remote machine.. MPIO is failover, local machine active, then remote machine..

I tested all of the slices including the hdd array where all of the starwind .img files are.. All are full speed except for the CSV in c:\ClusterStorage folder

Could you please share information about Microsoft iSCSI Initiator configuration for CSV, including the way portals are discovered and the way targets are connected, MPIO policy used?
