So as mentioned in another thread, I have 2 windows server 2016 VSA running well. I gave each ESXi VM 32GB RAM and described the cache as 28GB write-through. I then replicated to the other node. All working well. Except.. the cache size in use is reduced to 24.8GB? This is true on both nodes... Is there an effective limit like this? If so, 32GB for the guest is probably wasted?

It means that you have assigned more caching than it is really needed. Please check StarWind best practices recommendations.

Thanks, saw that now. I thought I had seen earlier recommendations that implied you could allocate more. I'll adjust back down, then...
