Hello community,

Trying to install Starwind VSAN free edition on a Windows Server 2012 R2 and I get confronted right at the beggining with the following error:

api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing...

then at the end of the installation with:

api-ms-win-crt-stdio-l1-1-0.dll is missing &

api-ms-win-crt-filesystem-l1-1-0.dll is missing

I have attached screenshots with the above errors.

Already tried to install visual c++ x64 but this didn’t resolved the issue. Anyone seen this happen before?

Maybe someone can provide me with a solution to the above problem. I already searched the forum and didn’t found anything related.

Thank you!
A Luca

Do you need the CloudReplicator functionality? Uncheck it in the corresponding option in the components list and it should be fine.

I don’t need that but what about Starwind SMI-S agent? What’s its functionality? I only need to configure a cluster of two windows server 2012 r2 bare metal servers that will run hyper-v VMs.

The StarWind SMI-S agent is required to be able to create StarWind virtual disks from Microsoft SCVMM. Check this for more details https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... nager-2016
