Hi,

I like the the product "StarWind Virtual SAN Free " and have worked on in my very small setup. I would like to understand the Recommended H/W configuration for 2 Node Cluster that would be running:

a. 2 Node Shared Nothing Hypervisors (VMWare ESX or MS Hyper-V)
b. Around 30 VM's ranging from Domain Controllers, File Servers, Database Servers
c. File & DB servers are of mixed usage (both write & read are of similar %)
d. IOPS max. that can be achieved from the system.
e. the Starwind S/W willl run within the Hypervisors
f. Required Networking bits for Starwind data replication between the two nodes

StarWind Virtual SAN has system requirements. You can check this information here.
The choice of hypervisor depends on your preferences.
Different types of underlying storage can give a really different performance. And StarWind performance depends on the performance of underlying storage.
The bandwidth of the synchronization channel should rely on the performance of storage.
