I'm using Starwind Virtual SAN free and I initially set up the HA between two servers using the GUI. Now that one of the SSDs died, how can I use the power shell to sever the HA partner and or re-create the image on the server with a replaced SSD? I think starwind definitely needs to have a home server, 2 node license with GUI because this powershell thing is hard to administer.

No, the option of replica recreation is not available in the StarWindX library at the current moment.
You can do these steps with the help of GUI.
