Hi

I'm having a couple of problems with starwind. When I create a larger LSFS drive with de-duplication, windows hangs on formatting it. I'm not sure what size where it stops working. I can format a 500mb drive without any problems. 2TB and over hangs. Thick provisioned and LSFS without de-duplication works fine. I can get around the problem by creating a 200mb partition and then extend it to the full drive.

The second problem I have is when I try to Add to Cluster Shared Volumes it gave me an error 0x800713b8 "The cluster request is not valid for this object"
This is a fresh windows install. windows 2016 server standard and starwind are the only applications installed. This occurs with all types of starwind drives. Thick provisioned and LSFS with/without de-duplication

any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello chell,
Could you please collect the logs using the instructions from our KB article here https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... collector/ and share the link to download from any cloud (google drive, one business, dropbox, etc.)
As for the second issue, please check that there is no Active Directory role installed on the servers: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Fo ... verPreview
