Cannot Connect Second HyperV Node

Hi,
I am installing Starwinds VSAN free for the first time in my home lab to try it out in a hyperconverged scenario.
I have two HyperV nodes. I followed the instructions here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/techni ... luster.pdf and installed the "Starwind Virtual SAN Server" on both nodes.
On the second node, I added itself and it is connected fine. However, when I go to add the first node, it connects to it and asks for the license key. I navigate to the file and I can see in the management console that it is connected, but when I click "close" on that key pop up, it immediately disconnects the first node.
On the first HyperV node, I am unable to connect either the local server, or the second node in the management console (same problem with the license key as the first node).
I have tried searching, but can't seem to pull up anyone having a similar issue. It appears that it might be an issue with the license key. Does anyone have any ideas? I should mention that when I went through the install process, the second node asked me to specify a default device, but I never got the same popup on the first node. I have also tried restarting and uninstalling on the first node, but no luck.
Thanks!
EDIT: So it does appear to be a license key issue. I suspect that I would be able to manage my first HyperV node via PowerShell. I got another key for the free version and tried that, but same result.
Is it possible to get a license key that allows for a management console for both nodes?
