Virtual San SFP+

I am trying to create a virtual SAN for 2 of my Vsphere hosts. Right now i have a VM running Starwinds (free edition) and a 10GB nic in passthrough mode to that virtual. On the other end of the 10GB connection is a Vmare host that i want to add the iSCsi connection to (for addtional storage). First off, is this possible?? Secondly what if so, what do i need to do to get this working?
