Hi,

Is anyone able to help.

I have for the first time with Starwind setup and 2 node SAN. We have previously just been using a single node.
I have created a new disk image with a flash-cache and then set it to replicate.

Replication starts without issue and its said it would take about 5 hours to replicate. Its now been 9 hours and it shows as being 99% complete with 0 time left however its just stuck there.
Logs say its still replicating but I have checked the network interfaces and there doesn't appear to any sync traffic anymore.
There was plenty when it was first started all the way to 99%.

Is there something I am missing or have done wrong?

Could you specify the version of StarWind?

Could you restart the StarWind service on the node where the device is in "synchronizing" status? The sync process will start again (from scratch).

We did try to restart the second node, this caused them to both stop syncing.
Following the advise here on the forum, I again stopped the second node and set the primary node as the valid node.
Starting the service on the second node this caused a full sync to start again. Another 4 hours and the sync got to 99%. Again after a nights sleep and checking in the morning still at 99%.

I rebuilt the servers from Server 2016 to Server 2012 R2 and completed the same setup along with the same size LUNs with fast cache etc and this time after about 4 hours the sync completed without issue.

I am not sure if Server 2016 is supported of if there was a step I missed setting them up on Server 2016 but running them on Server 2012 seems to be working fine.

Windows Server 2016 is supported and it is certified. https://www.starwindsoftware.com/certifications

Is there is any chance you have the logs from Windows Server 2016 to find the root of the issue?

No, sorry I rebuilt both the boxes.
I did check the logs but the last updates basically said it was syncing but nothing else in the logs and it never finished.
