Tonight I had a catastrophic failure on my system that was set up as my array. Once I replaced my power supply with a spare, i brought the system back online, but now can only connect one of my ESXi test servers. The others are giving out errors stating login error 0301 when attempting to connect. When i disconnect the server that connected, another one will connect without issue and the one that was connected gives the same 0301 error. When i reviewed the free vs. paid details it shows unlimited initiators so not exactly sure what happened when the system went went down as it was working for months without any issues.

Can anyone offer and suggestions on what is happening?

Thanks,

Ben

Start with shipping StarWind logs from your "can't connect" host and sending them to support AT starwind DOT com so we'll see what's there: if there's a configuration issue we'll point out what's wrong, if it's a bug or whatever inside our software we'll work on fixing it. Being on a free path still allows you (and we encourage you!) to do that :)

Dear buhlig,
Thank you for the provided log.
First of all, please, make sure that StarWind service is running on both nodes and all devices are synchronized on both nodes as well.
Also, please collect full logs from both servers, according to this guide: https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... ogs-bat-2/
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

I wanted to thank everyone that helped me get this resolved quickly. A quick shout out to Anton, Sergey, Taras, and Michael in helping me get back functional. I have no idea why my clustering setting was set to no, but Michael caught that quickly and pointed out what needed to be done. Additionally he found a setting that would protect my data in the event of an outage (like i just had).

Ya know, Citrix and Symantec could take a few lessons from you guys! Nothing like the experience you provided :!: :!: :!:

Been using StarWind for about 7 years now, and suggested it to multiple clients for an alternative to higher priced storage... Here is to another 7!

Thanks,

Ben

Dear buhlig,
Thank you for your warm reply. We are happy to assist you to get the issue solved.
Information for the community: In order to provide concurrent access to ISCSI target, do not uncheck "Allow multiple concurrent iSCSI Connections" during the device creation.
