Hello,
Forgive me if this has been asked, but I cannot get Virtual SAN v8 to install on my server 2016 machine. It keeps failing with the message "Setup failed to install Microsoft .NET Core. Error 3010. Is there a solution for this?

Thanks for your interesting in StarWind solution.
You can try 3 possible workarounds:
1) Install .NET Core before StarWind. Download and install SDK and runtime (version 1.1.2) from Microsoft by following next link: https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/core#/sdk (Note: system reboot require)
2) Reboot your servers and try to install StarWind one more time
3) Uncheck "Cloud Replicator for VTL" in StarWind Virtual SAN Wizard

Had a similar error on a 2012 system, error 12029, .NET Core

I resolved it by installing .NET Core x64 1st and then installed Starwind

I'm having a very similar issue. However I'm getting error 0x80070490.
It tries to install Visual C redistribute... but fails.
I have installed this manually... but it still fails.

It directs me to a "log file" but I cannot find where that may me.

I've attached a screen shot.

Also...
This server IS NOT connected to the internet.
All files are FTP'd to the system.

Any help would be great... like a list of prerequisites.
