Hello alxsaz,
Thanks for interesting in StarWind solution.
Could you specify the build which you use?
You can find "version build" on top of the management console in help tab (about starwind management console) or on top of the service logs.
Share us the logs from both your servers according to our KB article: https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... ogs-bat-2/
Thanks!

Hello Ivan,
build we are using is 10833 (it was updated from 10811).

we are not using clustering for now, so we have only one Virtual SAN server.
I collected logs, file is too big to attach it here, so you can download it from my Dropbox: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/286 ... 232142.zip

Hello alxsaz,
Thanks for logs!
Also, could you share with us the .mdmp files from StarWind folder? By this paths:
C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\starwind.20170419.133547.mdmp
C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\starwind.20170419.131722.mdmp
C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\starwind.20170419.131402.mdmp
Thanks!

Hello Ivan!

Unfortunately, I can't share minidumps starwind.20170419.131722.mdmp and starwind.20170419.131402.mdmp, because they have been deleted :(
I have only these .mdmp files: starwind.20170419.133547.mdmp and starwind.20170419.133548.mdmp.
here are links to download (~800MB per file):
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/286 ... 33547.mdmp
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/286 ... 33548.mdmp

we can rerproduce crash and generate more minidumps, if needed.

I have some new data

Virtual SAN crashes not on connect, it looks like it happens when we create ext4 filesystem on connected lun and run ls

UPD:
checked it one more time, results:
connect, i/o on lun without filesystem (using fio) - ok
create FAT filesystem, ls on empty, create file, ls - ok
create ext4 filesystem, ls on empty -> crash. it is reproducing constantly.

initiator is:
Linux testvm10 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.39-1+deb8u2 (2017-03-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux
open-iscsi: 2.0.874-2~bpo8+1
multipath-tools: 0.6.4-5

Hello Ivan

thanks for your update, we will wait for it.

unfortunately we can't do any new tests about this problem, because this hardware needed for other urgent tests, so we need to destroy this environment.
but we still interested in solution, and will wait for any update from you.

if you need any more info about our environment I still can give it to you
