Hello Lohelle,
Were you able to find out the resolution from ESXi side?

No, not yet.
I will try to create a small test-device, HA and non-HA to check if NEW devices are detected correctly.

I created a new HD-device. Changes the parameter in the config on both nodes and restarted both nodes (one + resync + other one).
Did a rescan on a few ESXi hosts. When adding datastore, the device is still identified as HDD...

This was on a new device never added to any hosts until after the config change in starwind.cfg

Hello Lohelle,
It was found that the issue can be reproduced on ESXi 6.0, thus our QA as well as R&D teams, will double check it. Meanwhile, could you please provide us with the ESXi 6.5 build number you have installed?
Thank you!

Hello Lars Ove,
I am sorry for a delay in our response.
Our QA department tried to reproduce the issue with your StarWind build as well as ESXi build mentioned below.
They checked this several times and confirmed it works fine.
Please try to do this on the latest StarWind build which is available to download from this link: https://www.starwindsoftware.com/regist ... irtual-san
