Hi there,
I've not used this product before, but I have a simple requirement.
I have a standalone Hyper-V 2016 Core server. This server has two Windows Server 2012 R2 VMs. I want to replicate a virtual disk from one VM to the other. Is this possible with Virtual SAN without having to install anything directly on the Hyper-V server?
Which components do I need to install?
Many thanks

Hello Dillparallax,
Thank you for your post.
Could you please clarify your question? You want to replcate virtual disks between 2 VMs on the same host, don't you?

That's exactly right Al. I want to replicate a virtual disk between two VMs on the same Hyper-V host.

Hello Dillparallax,
Unfortunately, it would not be possible to do it with a StarWind Virtual SAN Free. Free version is not possible to install inside of the VM or on a host with Hyper-V role installed.
However, it would be possible to do it with a full version.
