Hello,

Sometimes, I really can't place any time or date on it, our servers start logging these events:
20/01/2016 6:28:37 - Event 778 - StarWindService - Warning
HA device 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.10.2-node2-data-slave': synchronization connection (IP 12.12.12.13) with the partner node 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.0.10-node2-data' was lost.

20/01/2016 6:28:37 - Event 791 - StarWindService - Error
HA device 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.10.2-node2-data-slave': current node will be marked as 'not synchronized', because synchronization connections with the partner 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.0.10-node2-data' were lost.

20/01/2016 6:28:37 - Event 779 - StarWindService - Error
HA device 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.10.2-node2-data-slave': all synchronization connections with the partner node 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.0.10-node2-data' were lost.

20/01/2016 6:28:37 - Event 775 - StarWindService - Error
HA device 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.10.2-node2-data-slave': current node state has changed to 'not synchronized'.

20/01/2016 6:28:44 - Event 774 - StarWindService - Error
HA device 'iqn.2008-08.com.starwindsoftware:10.0.10.2-node2-data-slave': current node state has changed to 'synchronizing'.

The synchronization as shown starts up again after a few second and none of the nodes go down but this still worries me as this seems to happen on random times and on random days and sometimes goes on for hours. As was the case here, the eventlogs of Starwind I attached are from 23:13:00 till later, while these Windows eventlogs were from this morning 6:28:00.

Logs are removed from forum.

Highest regards,

Kenny

Hello Kenny,

Please make sure that you are using separated networks for ISCSI and Synchronization.

Could you please also provide us with a brief description of your StarWind hosts and network configuration?
