Network & iSCSI issue

I'm working with StarWind v8 in my test lab for a possible setup in a future production system and have hit an issue.
I have a VM in a Hyper-V cluster that I want to offer up an iscsi LUN to a physical server outside the cluster. Trouble is, when I go to the network config for the server within the StarWind management console, it only shows the 127.0.0.1 address and won't let me modify/add any other addresses. Is this a limitation of the free license?

Hi,
You are absolutely correct. Huge amount of questions about iSCSI restriction. Be attentive with sys requirements

Needed a quick fix for a PoC. Managed to do what I needed by other means so will revisit Virtual San in the future when there are less time contstraints.

Not sure if it's a good idea to test PoC with free version. Why it wouldn't be better to use a trial?

So just to be clear here you can only use loopback with the trial? You can't even use the storage from a remote VMware host?

Sure you can
But not over iSCSI. SoFS with NFS is what you need.

SoFS supports SMB3 only. With NFSv4.1 it will be a standard active-passive failover cluster FYI.

Free one does NFSv4.1 and SMB3 but *NOT* HA iSCSI. Did you read the "Free Vs Paid"? It has quite a detailed matrix on what free can and cannot do. Here:
