New Installation

Hi,

Well I am taking the plunge and deciding to test starwind in a hyper-converged setup with VMware ESX. I have noticed that there seems to be issues with LSFS and also L2 Cache.

Would the best option be to setup the volumes as thick and not use L2 cache for now, we cannot afford to lose any data like other users that have used LSFS. How bigger performance decrease would this have in this setup

Thanks

Hello Gharding!

Well, L2 cache is temporary disabled, thus there is no possibility for L2 cache to cause any data corruption on your future system.
Speaking abut LSFS, i agree that we had terrible issues with it, but we have it fixed now. After we fixed it, we never faced data losses. So, if you are planning to install our latest build, running LSFS devices would not be a problem if you are aware of its specs:

Considering everything mentioned above, i think there is no need to afford any performance decreases.
