Hi all,

I am having problems when installing Starwind Virtual SAN as when I apply the key during the installation I get the following error:

"Error reading license information from registry. License key information not found in the registry."

OS is Windows 2012 R2.

Key is the free 2 node license.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,
Matt

Hello Matt,
Could you please let me know what is the extension of the license key you have?
Is it *.swk or *.swk- ?

Hi Max,
The license file is a *.swk file.

What StarWind build do you have?
I am asking that because, old licence keys can be applied on any SW build, but new keys cannot be applied on old SW builds.

Hi,

I've downloaded just now, Starwind VSAN (version 8 ) and asked for a free licence that I received also by email, although while activating I get the information: "License Information not found in the windows registry".

Care to help please?

Thanks.
