We use current V8 build 7471.

In the Server Log there is a huge amount of these entries:

[...]
12/17 8:18:23.961 a48 IMG: *** ImageFile_Dispatch_Unmap: ImageFile_ExecuteFileLevelTrim( 480871840, 1008 ) failed, status == 0xC0000001!
12/17 8:18:23.961 a48 IMG: *** ImageFile_ExecuteFileLevelTrim: ExecuteFileLevelTrim: GetOverlappedResult() after FSCTL_FILE_LEVEL_TRIM failed (err 50).
[...]

On initiator side (Win 2012 R2, MS iSCSI initiator) the system event log is full of: Disk - Event ID 7: "The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, has a bad block."

It's the first time we have these troubles with starwind - I think it's because of the newest release ...
Release Notes V8 build 7471 (11 December 2014)
Fixes and updates in this build:
Fixed processing for UNMAP/TRIM commands. Virtual device was failing in cases when underlying storage doesn't support UNMAP/TRIM commands, but client use these commands to manage storage.

With 7354 we had no troubles ...

Thanx for any help!

regards,
Lukas

Looks like UNMAP command issue. We are already fixing it and expecting the fix to be included in the next minor update. Stay tuned.

That requires recreating whole image
