iSCSI target on a Win7 machine for Proxmox use

I am having this problem when i already created an iSCSI target with latest Starwind on a Win7 macchine. I am trying to attach to this from across LAN with a ProxMox server. The ProxMOX cannot see the LUN, its not selectable. Wondering if i can use Starwind on Win7 for this purpose. I wanted to then use this iSCSI target to do live snapshot backups of teh entire hypervisor and all its VM's into this Starwind iSCSI target.
Here is the URL frm the Proxmox forum of details.

TY for any responses

Sure you can use StarWind for non-production on a desktop version (7 and 8.xx) of Windows. Not sure about "live snapshot backups" as normally you'd need some agent on a client who takes care of data consistency when taking a snapshot. For Hyper-V that's VSS. No idea who's that for ProxMox...
Start with shipping StarWind longs (zipped) to support account e-mail so we could take a look and figure out what's wrong with config on a server side. If nothing wrong we'll proceed with a client (ProxMox).

This was solved awhile back and a user on the ProxMox support forums suggested that the answer also be posted here for general FYi..
that URL is
