I see there is an option to extend thick HA drives, but that option does not exist for lsfs. Is there any way to do this, or is it not supported?

Hi.
Thank you for your question.
Yes. There is a way to extend thick HA Drive. You can do it following that:
1) In the Starwind Management Console, please, choose necessary device for extension on the left panel;
2) In the right panel click on Extending Size of HA Device;
3) In the Pop up which appear specify the size of extension for chosen device.
If you will meet some difficulties, please, contact us.

That is expected. Right now we are working on bringing this functionality to the software.

Hey, I noticed in testing that LSFS is limited to 2TB, when this functionality is introduced will we be able to extend it farther or is 2TB the limit?

Hi! Current build of StarWind allows creating of 11TB LSFS devices, and this number will grow in hte future builds.

My install
7852, allows the wizard to progress though the steps, but when it completes it errors out(does not mount) and does not create the 1st spx file (does but is only 4096 in size)
When I create a LSFS 2TB or less, it works, mounts, and creates the 1st spspx file significantly larger (532480KB for 2TB drive)

Hello Ironwolf,
May I ask you to provide me with next information:
• StarWind logs
• Windows Application and System logs (in *.csv format)
• Approximate time frames when the issue happened (or you could reproduce it, thus we would have the exact time of the issue)
Thank you

So can you extend the size of an image while the device is up and running? Also, I assume that I will need to adjust the size on any fail-over as well?

Also, if extend the HAImage on one of my Sans, do I need to do it on all mirrors or if I make the change on one will the others follow suit automatically.
Thanks,

If we are talking about the Flat files (*.img files), then yes, it is possible to extend it on the fly. Just right click on the HAimage, choose the corresponding option and accomplish the wizzard.

Ok, so then as long as the property states something like My Computer\E\\Servername-HA.img then I am good to adjust live on the fly. Also, this SAN is mirrored, so do I need to adjust the HAImage on both machines or if I adjust one does the other adjust it's self to match?
