Hi

What would be the recommended way to upgrade from single-node to 2-node cluster?

can i simply attach existing .img device to HA device?

Hi!

Good question. Upgrade from single node to HA on-fly will be available starting from v8, but for now you`ll need the short downtime.
May I ask you what device type are you using (Basic Image, CDP, DD, etc.) in order to give you the correct steps?

Yeah, v8 will rock 8)

Below you can find the steps that you need to follow in order to upgrade your system:
1. To prevent data loss, disconnect clients from targets.
2. Update StarWind service on the first StarWind node. Wait until the service starts.
3. Update the StarWind service on the second HA node. Wait until the service starts.
4.Connect to the targets.

I hope it helped

Hi anatoly. I dont need to upgrade, i am currently running the latest StarWind.

All i need to do is go from 1-node to 2 node-HA setup keeping the same img-file.

How to proceed?

Oh, ok.

Basically you need to disconnect from the target, remove the target and the device (leave the *.img file), start creating the HA device and use that *.img file on one of the sides, and that side should be the source of synchronization.
