StarWind iSCSI Install and Configuration problems.

I'm trying to use Starwind iSCSI SAN with the free key. I have two computers one running Windows XP Pro SP2 and one using Windows Media Center running Windows 7 x64 Home Premium SP1. I've run out of disk space on the computer running WMC7 but have plenty of space on the computer running XP SP2. WMC7 will only let you record shows to internal drives not to network or removable drives so I want to use StarWind iSCSI to get around that limitation. Following the instructions in the Starwind_getting_started.pdf.
I installed Starwind.exe on one of my computers running Windows XP Pro SP2. I found that a lot of the info in the PDF was wrong when installing. For eample you are only given 2 choices for installation from the dropdown box. Either a Full install or a Management Console only install. There is no option of installing only a a iSCSI Service or a Starport Driver. I proceeded with the installation using the Full install option. When I reached the section asking about a License Key I indicated that I already had one and continued the install. After the install finished it launched the Management Console. In the PDF it states that a prompt for a License Key is supposed to appear but when using the actual program that prompt doesn't appear. Indeed I can't find any Menu or any other option to apply a License Key.
When the main screen for the Management Console appears there are no predefined StarWind hosts unlike what is shown in the PDF so I use the the Add Host menu and am prompted to create a new StarWind Server. I do so and a a Server named LOCALHOST (127.0.0.1) : 3621. When I try to Connect to that server I get the following error message: StarWind Service not found on LOCALHOST (127.0.0.1) :3261. That's as far as I got. Any idea as to what is wrong?
